Pisamover, the automated transport system that in five minutes connects the Pisa Airport to the Pisa Central Railway Station has started operating.

Pisamover has been launched: the cutting of the ribbon and the maiden run took place in the presence of the Minister for Infrastructures and Transport Graziano Delrio; of the Member of the European Parliament Transport Commission David Sassoli; of the President of the Tuscan Region Enrico Rossi; of the Mayor of Pisa Marco Filippeschi; of the Sole Administrator of Pisamo Fabrizio Cerri; and of the President of Pisamover Emanuele Noschese.
Pisamover is an innovative urban mobility model, totally automated, electrically powered to reduce as much as possible the energy and environmental impact, formed by two cars carrying 107 passengers each, which will be operating all year round, from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m..
Condotte, Inso and Leitner have built the infrastructure in partnership, following the awarding of the concession contract in a public tender called by Pisamo, on a mandate granted by the Municipality of Pisa. They will jointly manage the transport service for the next 36 years. The cost for the execution of the work amounts to approximately 71 million Euros, with 21 million Euros financed by the European Union and the remainder by the private partners.
